Sunday, August 23, 2009 - Monday night, August 31st, everyone at North Penn Volunteer Fire Company will be housing our newest piece of apparatus, a 2007 Seagrave Marauder II Rescue Pumper. Simply called Squad 62. At 7:15pm we will be starting the ceremony of making the truck an official part of the 62 family. All are welcome to come out and watch as we back Squad 62 into our station for the ceremonial "first time."
As many already know, Squad 62 has already been in service for several months now, and has been a spectacular piece of equipment. Already aiding in many types of emergencies such as fire suppression, multiple types of rescues, and also non-emergencies, too, like teaching fire prevention and participating in parades. Come out the 31st and help us celebrate North Penn's newest member.
Our new Squad has been dedicated in the memory of Robert "Buckets" Gular who passed away in Feb 2007.
