Station 62 was dispatched to the 100 Block of 5th St. for a building. Squad 62 crew conducted the search and found heavy smoke and fire in the kitchen area. Battalion 62 confirmed fire in the building and the upgrade was dispatched. SD-62 ventilated the kitchen and knocked the fire with 1 3/4 line. SD-18 supplied water  from the plug. Once the fire was extinguished crews assisted with clean up and overhaul. Additional units on the scene were SD-18, SD-14, E-80, E-76,R-18 SS-345, 345-24 L-83( Fast Team) Crews remained on scene just over an hour.
