This coming Saturday is North Wales Day. Appearing on that day will be our Fire Prevention Trailer that was purchased through a grant. We can use the trailer to teach children and adults what to do in case of a fire.

On March 27, 2008 Detective Sergeant James Pifer of the Upper Gwynedd Police Department died tragically, leaving behind a wife and three children. Now, friends and family are banding together to help support a family in need.

Please join Det. Sgt. Pifers family and friends as they celebrate the life of a true public servant and dedicated community leader.

Friday May 30, 2008 from 18:00 to 22:00.
Food served from 18:00 to 20:30 and raffle begins at 21:00

The softball season for the North Penn Volunteer Fire Co. team starts on May 18 and that game puts us against the Isotopes and that game starts at 20:00. See below for our entire schedule.

It is with deep regret the North Penn Volunteer Fire Company and Lower Gwynedd Police Department announce the passing of Life Member and Retired Corporal John Kaelin. John was a member of the fire company for 53 years and was with the Lower Gwynedd Police Department for 38 years.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 15, 2008 at 11AM at the Church of the Messiah, 1001 Dekalb Pike, Lower Gwynedd Township.

Sunday afternoon the pre-alert for North Wales Borough was transmitted. 62, Engine 80-2, Squad 14, Ladder 14 and 18 were dispatched to smoke in the residence on Swartley St. Cheif 62 arrived and found nothing showing from the front of the building. After further investigation Chief Goltz found a heavy smoke condition in the building and reported possible entrapment. Squad 62 arrived and stretched an 1 3/4" to the fire. The crew split and searched the building as well. Ladder 62 opened up and searched for victims. No human life was in danger but two dogs and a lizzard were saved. One cat did parish in the fire. All units cleared the job with in an hour.
