Recruitment Event at Montgomery County Community College

Tuesday, April 22, 2014  MONTGOMERY COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE - On Wednesday April 23rd North Penn will be attending a public saftey recruitment event at the community college.  We will be talking to students about our department and what North Penn has to offer.  The recruitment event will take place in the Parkhouse Hall Atrium.  The event starts at 9:00 AM  and will conclude around 2:30 PM. 

   


 

Dance Night this Saturday

Wednesday, April 16, 2014  NORTH PENN SOCIAL CLUB - Just a reminder that this Saturday night there will be a dance night open to the public.  Doors open at 8:00 pm and there will be a $2.00 donation at the door..  Come out for a night of dancing. 

   


 

Engine 62-1 is Now in Service

Tuesday, April 15, 2014  NORTH WALES BORO - During Monday's drill night Chief 62 announced that Engine 62-1 will now be in service. The new engine took its first call around 9:00 am the following day. 

   


 

Lower Gwynedd Field Fire

Saturday, April 12, 2014   LOWER GWYNEDD TOWNSHIP - Around 2:00 PM Wissahickon Fire Company was dispatched for a field fire.  Chief 7(Wissahickon) arrived on scene and found a 200 by 200 foot field on fire.  Chief 7 then requested an engine from 62 to assist.  Crews remained on scene for about 2 hours.

Friday, April 11, 2014   UPPER GWYNEDD TOWNSHIP - Around 1:30 PM Upper Gwynedd Fire Department was dispatched with Center Square Fire Department on a vehicle rescue.  Chief 80(Upper Gwynedd) arrived on scene and found two victims that needed to be extricated.  Chief 80 then requested Squad 62 from North Penn to assist with the accident.  Crews stabilized and helped with extrication.  North Penn remained on scene for about 40 minutes. 

   


 

Hoagie Sale This Weekend

Thursday, April 10, 2014  The members of North Penn Vol. Fire Company will be selling hoagies on Saturday starting at 8:00 am.  Hoagies are $4.00.  Come out and support North Penn!

   


 

2 ALARM HOUSE FIRE IN LANSDALE

Tuesday, April 8, 2014  LANSDALE BORO - Around 6:00 PM Fairmount Fire Company of Lansdale was dispatched to a report of a house fire on 3rd street. Police arrived on location and had heavy smoke towards the rear of the house. North Penn Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched around 6:10 to assist with the fire. Chief 14 evacuated the building around 6:30.

Monday, April 7, 2014   UPPER GWYNEDD TOWNSHIP - Around 4:30 PM, North Penn Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched with Fire Department of Montgomery Township involving two prisoners trapped in a sheriff's prisoner transport vehicle.  North Penn assisted with stabilization and extrication of patients.  Crews remained on scene for about 45 minutes.  

   


 

2 Alarm House Fire in Hatfield Township

Thursday, March 27, 2014  HATFIELD TOWNSHIP - Around 1:00 pm Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched for a house fire.  Hatfield command reported a working fire.  Command also requested the 2nd alarm.  Around 1:25 pm North Penn was dispatched to stand by in Hatfield's main station to cover there calls.  This has been the fifth stand by in five different townships for the month of March.

Ladder 62 in Norristown

Wednesday, March 26, 2014  NORRISTOWN BORO - Around 11:10 AM Norristown Fire Department was dispatched for a building fire.  Crews arrived on scene with a working kitchen fire.  Norristown commanded requested a ladder company to stand by at there Montgomery Hose Station on Freedly Street.  Ladder 62 covered calls in Norristown Borough for over an hour.
