Monday night, members from North Penn had the pleasure to be invited to the Fire Department of Montgomery Township's drill. The drill was a great classroom presentation by Mike Lombardo, a 34 year veteran of the fire service and former Commissioner and Chief of the Buffalo Fire Department in New York and New York state fire instructor.
The presentation, "Red Flags Keeping Firefighters Safe on the Fireground," was an excellent class helping firefighters and fire officers to identify warning signs to MAYDAY situations. Mike Lombardo took experiences and lessons he has learned in his 34 years of service as well as actual Line of Duty Death incidents to create his presentation.
North Penn and it's members would like to thank the Fire Department of Montgomery Township for opening their engine bay doors to them for an excellent presentation, and North Penn would especially like to thank Mike Lombardo for giving his presentation....

North Penn Vol. Fire Co. would like to thank local resident, Jeremy, and his mother for stopping by the station Monday afternoon and getting a tour. Jeremy and his mother noticed Engine 62 backing into the station, walked over and asked to see it. North Penn is proud that whenever the bay doors are open, members of our community are welcomed to stop in and get a tour. So, if you are ever walking down Main Street, North Wales and see an open bay door on the firehouse and a firefighter standing outside, feel free to ask about the trucks, gear or the duties they perform for the community. A North Penn Firefighter will always be willing to answer, and if you're interested, they can tell you how you can serve the community as a member of the fire company. A fire company that has been protecting and serving since 1888 as North Wales Hose Co. 1 and as North Penn Vol. Fire Co. 62 since 1930....
