I have no ambition in this world but one, and that is to be a fireman. The position may, in the eyes of some, appear to be a lowly one; but we who know the work which the fireman has to do believe that his is a noble calling. Our proudest moment is to save lives. Under the impulse of such thoughts, the nobility of the occupation thrills us and stimulates us to deeds of daring, even of supreme sacrifice.

- Chief Edward Franklin Croker, FDNY

Membership Types

Anchor 1

The fire company requires all type of assistance to operate effectively. From members who respond to emergencies, to those who help with fundraising and planning, there is a role for everyone in the community to help.

Members involved in fire suppression, search and rescue, vehicle rescue, emergency apparatus operation (drivers) and other on-scene duties as needed.

Fire Police

Fire Police are volunteer members who, based upon their jurisdictional authority, receive sworn police powers, special training, and support firefighting efforts at emergency incidents.

QRS members respond to 911 medical calls and swiftly begin patient care until an ambulance arrives. Firefighters and Fire Police can also participate in the QRS program.

Junior Members

Junior members, also known as junior firefighters, are members that are 16 and 17 years old. They actively train and respond to emergency calls as well as participate in other activities with the fire company.

Non-firefighting roles
As a 100% volunteer fire company, our members must also manage aspects such as finance, fundraising, marketing, grounds or equipment maintenance and recruitment and retention.  Members in these roles contribute their knowledge in banking, human resources and other areas of trade or business, not immediately thought of as roles available at a volunteer fire company.

If you have experience in these roles, we have a place for you.

Social Member

Social Members are those who are members of the North Penn Social Club. The social club is a full bar and banquet hall that serves the social needs of club members in the immediate and surrounding community. Contact us to submit your application for a Social Membership today!
